Singer/songwriter Carrie Liz Williams began popping up at open mic nights after relocating to Paonia from San Antonio, where she had performed for years across southern Texas. When drummer Ross Deardorff heard her play at Louie’s, he realized she had what most performers were missing: encouragement. With songs that carry emotional baggage about breakups and life, Carrie possessed the uncanny ability to connect through these stories by finding a positive twist that reminds listeners in these similar situations not to lose hope. Carrie and Ross began playing as a two-piece with acoustic guitar and drums. Soon after, they were joined by lead guitarist Josh Livaudais, with vocalists Jeanne Carter and Jen Pietras rounding out the lineup.
