Shades of Bluegrass is composed of five musicians with over 100 years of combined professional musical experience. Mulit-instrumentalists Kerry Claxton and Adrienne Yauk currently are members of the all female bluegrass band Giddyup Kitty, Sax player Bill Moody was a member of the popular band JT and the Big Dogs, melodic banjo player Tom Kay formed the band Work Release, and bass player Larry Claxton has been a member of numerous bands including Wild Sage and The Metamoocil Mountain Boys. Together, the group performs a mixture of tastefully arranged music which includes bluegrass infused with Jazz overtones.
