03 May I Love Pie Contest

In true Mountain Harvest tradition, Paonia’s Lambert Grange (together with PHS Cross Country Team) will once again sponsor the annual “I Love Pie” contest in conjunction with the Chili Cook-off.
- Pie categories are:
Custard (e.g., pumpkin! squash! carrot! Yes, this gem of a pie gets its own category) - Single crust cream or meringue
- Double crust, fruit
- Surprise pie. Surprise us; any creative pie that doesn’t fit the first three categories!
- **Special “best of show” award will be given to gluten and dairy-free pies entered in any category.
Five awards will be presented. Please enter pies at 4pm; entries will close at 5pm.
To ease the entry process:
Pies must be submitted with an index card, with the category, your “name” for the pie, a name for you, and your contact phone. If you want your pie plates returned, please have a name/address/phone number labelled on the bottom if possible!
Bakers can enter a pie in only one category, but may enter as many pies as they like. All pies must be homemade. Don’t forget to try for the gluten and dairy free category. DM the Lambert Grange facebook page with questions.
Entry forms will be available at the Pie Contest table (look for us south west of the stage). Proceeds benefit the FFA.
